Handlung
„My family and me“ ist der 2. Band für erste Schritte in Englisch und lässt uns Familie, Alltag und Gebräuche in fernen Ländern entdecken. Gehen Sie mit Ihrer Klasse auf Weltreise und besuchen Sie gemeinsam die Kin- der Hannes aus Deutschland, Bandele aus Afrika, Narisara aus Thailand, Antonia aus Argentinien, Olivia aus den USA und Jim aus Australien zuhau- se bei ihren Familien. Abwechslungsreiche Aufgaben rund um das Thema „Familie, Alltag und Gebräuche“ der Protagonisten sorgen nicht nur für Wiederholung, Vertie- fung und Festigung der relevanten Kompetenzen im Fremdsprachenunterricht in der Grund- schule, sondern fördern die Empathie fähigkeit. Auf dieser Weltreise werden Bewusstsein für andere Kulturen und Neugierde auf Fremdes geweckt bzw. geschärft. Die diversen Methoden und Sozialformen garantieren spaßige und kurzweilige Vertiefung im Unterricht.
Aufgaben
Dabei umfassen die Aufgaben speaking (Umfragen in der Klasse und kleine Dialoge), asking the way (Wegbeschreibungen), writing (z.B. Zahlen, Wochentage, Uhrzeit etc.), text based questions (Fragen zum Textinhalt), grammar (is/are – is/isn’t, question words), matching (Zu- ordnung), vocabulary (Definitionen, Wort-/Bildpaare mit Memokarten und Domino®) sowie kurzweilige Rätsel und Puzzles für alle Sozialformen.
Themen
Der lehrwerksunabhängige Band orientiert sich an den Bildungsplänen der Länder. Somit wer- den die Themenfelder family members, jobs, nationalities, clothes, seasons and months, date / date format, time, days of the week, daily routine, animals, family members, prepositions, asking the way, body, rooms in a house, types of houses, presentation und class survey behandelt.

Das Material eignet sich daher bestens zur Binnendifferenzierung, zur außerunterrichtlichen Förderung, für Vertretungsstunden oder einfach zwischendurch zur Auffrischung.
