This first issue of Volume 68a of Zeitschrift f¨ur Naturforschung (ZfN) A is dedicated to Professor Alfred Klemm on the occasion of his 100th birthday on February 15, 2013. Alfred Klemm founded ZfN together with Hans Friedrich-Freksa in 1945, the first issues of Vol. 1 appearing in early 1946.
