Artists of the 1890s in England, France, and Belgium
Dear colleagues,
I have just joined this list and would be interested in corresponding off-list with anyone who shares my research interests in the artists of the 1890s, notably those of England, France and Belgium. This is an aspect of studying decadence and Aestheticism, with Oscar Wilde at its core. Indeed, I would always be happy to view with possibility of publication submissions to the on-line journal I edit at
http://homepages.gold.ac.uk/oscholars,
which has a registered readership of over 600, chiefly academics.
I am principally interested in the lesser known painters - Raffaelli more than Pre-Raphaelites, so to speak, and in the Academy/Salon painters.
