Z. Naturforsch.54c,754Ð758 (1999); received October 20, 1998 Maize, Cd Toxicity, Accumulation and Translocation, EDTA

Growth parameters of maize seedlings were studied as well as cadmium content in plants in function of the EDTA dose applied to the nutrient medium. No increase in Cd accumula- tion was found in plants under the influence of EDTA, but this chelating agent was observed to suppress the effect of Cd toxicity on the plant growth.

We used the EPIC model (Ver. 0810) [Williams, 1995], one of the most widely used crop models, to simulate the global maize production and quantify the projected range of climate

If saccadic size is larger with low spatial frequencies and smaller with high spatial frequencies, as stated above, then it should follow that low-pass W ltered images will lead

Examples of how the data will be grouped and presented are: number of years covered, study year, first year and long-term cultivation with Bt-maize, crop and field margin, continent
