The School of Art and Design is a large, interdisciplinary,
practice-based environment with an outstanding research record, gaining a '5' in the 2001 Research Assessment Exercise.
The following permanent Readerships are now available at the Belfast campus and the successful candidate will be expected, in particular, to further enhance the output of the team through their research outputs.

Applicants must have a first or second class honours degree, or equivalent, in fine art or a related subject, and be able to provide evidence of four Research Assessment Exercise standard publications in the field of fine art/painting with national level impact since
1998.

Reader in Critical, Historical and Theoretical Studies in Visual Art Ref: C03/145/A/W
Applicants must have a first or second class honours degree, or equivalent, in the history and theory of art and design or a related subject, and be able to provide evidence of four Research Assessment Exercise standard publications in the field with national level
impact since 1998.
