Flow diagram of study inclusion and Dix-Hallpike testing. Excluded records: patients were excluded from the study if they left without being seen, had dizziness >14 days, recent trauma, a Glasgow Coma Scale score of less than 15, hypotension (SBP<90), or reported syncope/loss of consciousness. *Symptoms consistent with BPPV: no documentation of symptoms inconsistent with BPPV. **All BPPV criteria present: documentation provided for all three symptoms characteristic of BPPV (lasting <2 minutes, intermittent, evoked by a change in position or head movement/not present when still) and no focal neurologic deficits noted (see main text). BPPV = Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. DHT = Dix-Hallpike test.
