The NetTerminal

TM

500WR supports up to twelve simultaneous sessions through Ethernet (TCP/IP) or SLIP connections. Each session can be configured independently for the most common UNIX emulations.

One of the sessions can be configured to access a Web browser through NetTerminalServices

TM

(NTS).

Once NTS is installed only a simple session configuration is required to run a full screen browser session in 65K colors.

Upgradeable to Windows Based Terminal The 500WR can be configured as a Windows Based Terminal (WBT) by booting Microsoft Windows CE from local Flash memory or from a remote Web server. The remote-boot option minimizes hardware cost and simplifies centralized CE deployment. The 500WR supports RDP and ICA protocol to access Windows applications.

All Time Remote Management

Designed to meet present and future requirements, the 500WR can be managed remotely over the network using Web browser, Telnet or SNMP protocols.

3 Port Print Server

The multi-tasking kernel supports a broad range of configurations. Each 500WR can be configured as a local or network print server through two serial ports and a parallel port.

Plug and Play Installation

The 500WR has a simple embedded administrative interface which allows the sessions to be configured through a local host table, DNS or DHCP protocol.

Configurations can be downloaded to multiple 500WRs remotely, eliminating costly configuration time.

Self-Contained and Field Upgradeable All configuration information is stored locally, eliminating the need for a complex boot server software installation. Using the latest Flash technology, firmware is field upgradeable. Multiple feature sets are available to address specific requirements.

Point-of-Sale Enabled

The 500WR serial and parallel ports are network transparent and can be accessed as local devices from the host, a requirement for many POS applications.
